- Mind being what it has been, uncultivated is prone to get easily distracted by the undue importance given to the vagaries of daily life.
- A field properly cultivated can yield the desired results. So too with our mind with concentrated, single-pointed effort will yield the result of spiritual progress
- Cultivating the mind to focus on the ultimate goal of human life is accomplished by the practice of Karma Yoga.
- Karma boga is passionate engagement, overworking, anxiety about results, and neglect of personal spiritual growth
- Karma Yoga is dispassionate engagement, efficiency at work, a balanced view of results, and proper attention to spiritual growth by using work as the means to purify the mind.
